‘Coffee with a Cop’: Floyd County Police invites public to coffee break on Oct. 3 to seek ways to better serve and protect.

Well, we have ‘Shop with a Cop’ at Christmas so why not have ‘Coffee with a Cop’ this fall?

The Floyd County Police Department wants to get to know the community and seek ways to better serve and protect residents. And what better way to talk than over coffee and doughnuts?  The public is invited to ‘Coffee with a Cop’ on Wednesday, October 3 at 9 a.m. at The Sweet Bar on Turner McCall Boulevard.

“We’re hoping the place is packed,” says Sgt. Chris Fincher with Floyd Police. “The job we do is only as good as the relationship we have with our community. Knowing about what’s going on in our neighborhoods and in the life of residents is how we best serve them and protect their property. It’s difficult to do that from inside a car, so we’re inviting the people to meet with us.”

Look for several leaders from the Floyd County Police to be in attendance including Chief Mark Wallace (unless an emergency arises). Patrol officers will also be available to meet and answer questions.
