Floyd Fights Hunger: Over 100 United Way volunteers join together to pack over 52,700 meals to be distributed locally.

Over 100 volunteers from the community came together at the Coosa Valley Fairgrounds on Saturday for the United Way’s Floyd Fights Hunger Campaign. The group had a goal of making over 50,000 meals for needy individuals in Floyd County.

From the United Way of Rome-Floyd County: “We packed 52,740 meals!!! Wow! Thank you so much for all your support. Meals were distributed to Salvation Army, Action Ministries and Victory Baptist Church. Those agencies will distribute out to individuals in Floyd County.”
