Mr. Jerry Lavonne Bunch, age 76, of Rome, passed away Friday, August 10, 2018, at his residence.
Mr. Bunch was born in Rome, GA on December 17, 1941, son of the late Berum and Clora Ledford Bunch. He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Gene and Garner Bunch. Mr. Bunch was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Prior to his retirement, he was employed with Florida Tile for over 23 years. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, the former Nancy Ann Beverly, to whom he was married on June 23, 1989; 3 daughters, Alisa Mullinax (Bobby), Rockmart, Jeania Roberson (Tim), Rome, and Sharon Baker, Kingston; 2 sons, Dale Gentry, Chattanooga, TN, and Billy Bunch, Kingston; a sister, Glenda Ollis, Rome; 5 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 13, 2018, at 11am in the Chapel at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel. The Rev. Glenn Clonts will officiate. Interment will follow in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel on Sunday from 2 until 5pm. At other hours, they may be contacted at the residence.
Pallbearers serving are asked to assemble at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel at 10:30am on Monday and include: Bobby Mullinax, Jimmy Brownlow, Daniel Carney, Joe Wofford, David Garrett and Benny Smith.

Mr. Jerry Shelton Smith, 78, of Cave Spring, died Friday afternoon, August 10, 2018 in a Rome hospital following an extended illness.
Mr. Smith was born in Garfield, Georgia, September 19, 1939, a son of the late Hoyt Smith, Sr. and the late Gladys McGee Smith. Mr. Smith and his family moved to Cave Spring in 1965, and he was a self employed carpenter.
He was married to the former Carolyn McKhen on June 20, 1958, and was preceded in death by her January 3, 2014. Besides his wife and parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by three brothers, Hoyt Smith, Jr., Carlton Smith, and Donald Smith and by one sister, Mrs. Betty Hooker.
Mr. Smith is survived by his son, Glenn Smith and his wife Dianne of Cave Spring, and by 3 grandchildren. Two sisters, Mrs. Elaine Gillard of Nicholls, Ga., and Mrs. Hazel Kirby of Garfield, Georgia also survive
Funeral services for Mr. Smith will be held Monday at 3:00 P.M. at John House’s Cave Spring Chapel Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the family lot of the Cave Spring Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. until the funeral hour.
