The Floyd County Republican Party is teaming up with the state GOP party to open a regional field office in Rome later this month. The new office will be opening at 420 Broad St. inside the former Fricks Furniture building now owned by Fred Taylor, according to Andy Garner, Floyd GOP Chair.

“This will be a joint venture between the local and state party to serve this region of Northwest Georgia,” says Garner. “Fred Taylor has been gracious enough to let us use the space and we plan to open by the end of the month.”

The office will have political signs, stickers, literature and more on all Republican candidates for statewide and local offices. The office will be open through the 2018 November election.

Garner says they hope to have the office open by August 27. A formal ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held around the end of the month.
