On July 12, the original location of East Rome Beverage Center closed with the new store just behind it — at 1805 Dean Ave., on the site where Deano’s Pizza once stood — opening the next day. As planned, the owners are demolishing the old location while letting customers know the new one just behind is up and running, seven days a week. The above images, taken Saturday, show the progress that has been made in removing the former location.

Rehab Techniques joins John Davenport Drive newcomers: The company has signs up at 3 John Davenport on the building adjacent to Salon 1017 and Knight’s Car Store. It is the latest addition to John Davenport following Redmond EMS’s new headquarters as well as what Life Church and Larry Martin have done to the former tavern a bit down the street. Back at Rehab Technique’s East Rome location, in the Etowah Crossing shopping center off Hicks Drive, the overhead sign is down but the office shows business is continuing there (image below). So far this year, the shopping center anchored by Goodwill and Dollar Tree has seen SMC Music move to Central Plaza and the arrival of Great Clips from the nearby strip center adjacent to the former Kmart.
