Media release: The Polk County Police Criminal Investigation Division is requesting your assistance in gathering information on the vehicle in the photo above. On July 9, 2018 at approximately 5:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of a gun shot injury. The vehicle pictured above is believed to be the suspect vehicle. This vehicle may possibly traveled in the area of U.S. 27 South into the City of Cedartown. Any information on this vehicle and/or the driver of the vehicle will be greatly appreciated. On June 24, Cedartown resident Ronald Morris Bentley, 40, was found murdered. Subsequently arrested were Laryan Yance Walker, 30, of 501 Line St., on murder charges. Also, Tashon Brown of a 217 Pinecrest Circle address in Cedartown also was charged with party to the crime of murder, party to the crime of felony murder, party to the crime of aggravated assault, party to the crime of the possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, hindering apprehension and tampering with evidence.
