Update: The city of Summerville has issued a boil water notice for all of its customers until at least Friday, according to Interim City Manager Janice Galloway. The power went off at the plant on Filter Plant Road in the early morning hours. As of 11 a.m., the power is restored and pressure is slowly returning throughout the system. People are encouraged to boil the water before drinking or cooking. Galloway said the city will run biological tests on the water to see when it’s OK to lift the boil water notice.  However, the boil water advisory is in place through Friday.
