Developing: Summerville post master dies following motorcycle accident Thursday morning.

Friends are filling the Facebook page of Michael B. Ware this morning with tributes and notes of condolence following his death earlier Thursday in a motorcycle accident in the Calhoun area. Ware is identified as the postmaster of the U.S. Postal Service office in Summerville. We’ll have additional updates soon.

From Calhoun Police:

“At approximately 1:37 a.m. June 28, 2018, Calhoun Police officers were dispatched to a traffic accident on Harris Beamer Road in Calhoun.  Upon arrival, they found that Michael Bynum Ware of 204 Village Way SW, Calhoun, was traveling west on Harris Beamer Road on his motorcycle, lost control and was ejected, which resulted in fatal injuries.  Mr. Ware was transported to Gordon Hospital by EMS where he was pronounced deceased.  This was a single-vehicle accident.  An investigation continues.”
