What to know about Georgia’s Hands Free Law and your phone. Special Hometown Radio edition, 7:40-8:30 this morning.

The above graphic sums up what we can expect as Georgia’s new “hands free law” takes effect on Sunday, July 1. There are lots of questions and we’ll help you get those answers starting Thursday (also click the above graphic for more right now).

On Thursday’s Hometown Headlines Radio Edition on WRGA 98.7 FM and online at wrga.streamon.fm, we’re reserving our 7:40 and 8:10 a.m. segments for two veteran law enforcement officers to talk about what we can expect here regarding enforcement. Joining us are:

  • Sgt. Steven Smith, selective enforcement unit, Rome Police Department.
  • Lt. David Pendley, Floyd County Police Department.

We also welcome your questions ahead of time.

  • Please email them to druck@hometownheadlines.com or add to the comment/reply section on our Hometown post on Facebook regarding the broadcast.
  • We’ll take listen calls beginning at 8:10 a.m. Thursday; dial 706-291-9744.
