Just a reminder that Broad Street will be closed from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today for the Downtown Rome Saturdays festivities. Today’s free, family friendly event includes visual art, live music, culinary flavors and cultural performances including the Ellen Axson Wilson Art Walk, International Festival, Chalk Your Heart Out, singer-songwriters, and local bands. The day will end with the launch of the inaugural Rome Lantern Parade.

The Exchange Club of Rome will present Ben Walker, a Holocaust survivor, speaking about his experience in a Romania concentration camp on Friday, May 11th at their noon meeting.
